My Rules Are Her Rules Too
I completely agree with you on the Rules for Christmas lights. Maybe I'm just a snob or maybe people don't know how to decorate aesthetically. Unless you're being gaudy and tacky out of sheer amusement, and I can totally tell, it's not acceptable.
I've always been a huge fan of all white lights, green garlands and wreaths and red bows. Of course, I need a home to decorate first.
I leave for South Carolina in exactly ten days and I'm really excited. But as always, I have a bunch of stuff to do. I have goals to complete for the month at work (which means they have to be done before I leave because I don't get back until January 3rd), I have work to do at home for work, again, I have dinners with friends, Christmas shopping, Christmas cards to send out, presents to wrap, paperwork to organize and bills to pay. Maybe all this running around and stress will pay off by keeping some of the holiday pounds off.
I also have cookies to bake but that will be my treat for surviving the holiday season (or making it until my flight leaves).
Viva la Christmas!
I also agree except I do like the lights-on-nets because they often look so much neater and straighter than other methods. This year one of the houses on Christmas Tree Lane had a North Pole theme where they laid out white fabric over an elevated area (ice) with lit-up polar bears. Then they put out blue floodlights to reflect against the lower part of the "ice" and roped off the boundaries of the yard with blue rope lights to make "water." It looked SO COOL!
Of course I just like blue lights, so. :D
LOL, sounds like too much work.. but hey you are super sexy, so I know you can handle it!!!!~
